VTTA Surrey/Sussex Lunch

 J
Jake won the 3 distance women's trophy for second year on the trot but due to skiing commitment was not able to receive the trophy so I brought it home for her, seen here between Barbara's pussy and my raffle prize of a small bottle of Proseco & Chocolates

Ray also received a certificate for new National 25 mile TT record for 86 yrs old of 1hr. 6min. ??secs. Don't ask me why the fat man is in the picture but I seem to be getting more like Philip B every day! Ray had to leave the lunch before the raffle was drawn to attend his brothers 90th Birthday party.

Kingston Wheelers Sporting 14

Just a quick reminder to you and all your members that the Kingston Wheelers Sporting 14 open time trial is open for entries.

We moved the date from the second Sunday in February - two weeks later. This year we are on 24th February (Head Quarters at Ripley Scout Hut) Start time 8.30.

Marvellous home made cakes will be available. Grateful if you can encourage participation we appear to have an awful lot of the promoting club riding!.

I also appear to have more than one junvenile/junior riding this year so a special welcome to any youngsters. Its a fairly straight forward course even if the road surface is more your Paris Roubaix than Champs Elysee...

Yours in cycling

First club ride in 2013 (from Horton Country Park, Epsom)

Nine of the riders outside Garsons Farm, Esher. The weather was cool (6-7 degrees), foggy and dank in the Surrey hills and overcast thereafter when we rode to the farm cafe for a nice cuppa. Nevertheless we were all well prepared and by the look of us we had a happy day.
