American Supper - reminder

Just a reminder to everyone - well all three of my readers (but hang on there's seven signed up to post here now, so perhaps I have six readers!).

American supper this Thursday down the clubroom.

Come early, before 10pm!
Don't eat a full roast dinner just before you come to club
Do bring something along - food, not much, just something.

Hopefully I'll see you all there and we can talk about posting to this blog and next season's plans.

Regards,
Lisa

Yellow Jersey Adventures Holidays

At the clubroom on Thursday December 8th we enjoyed a slick and interesting presentation by ‘Yellow Jersey Adventures’. A small group headed by Tony Costick and Andy, plenty of fine views and climbs were shown covering most of the major cols used in the Tour de France. We are invited to join them on their next holiday in the Pyrenees 1-15 July 2006. Camping & moving on; luggage carried, food provided, covering around 100 miles per day!

Roller League Final

The final night of the South London Roller League proved to be more than Simon bargained for, having an unbeatable perfect score of four counting matches out of a possible six and suffering from a cold he decided to miss the last event at the Addiscombe clubroom and go along to relax and enjoy the spectacle. The small print decreed that in order to qualify as Vets medal winner a rider had to at least ride over on the final night. No kit, no bike, no shoes: plus a cold, Simon wandered around other riders checking bike and shoe sizes, Shaun Kennedy was the best bet and so Simon rolled up his long trousers borrowed Shaun’s shoes and bike and dutifully rode two rides to become the Vets Roller League Champion for 2005 complete with winners Medal!
