Lack of Updates to the Main Website
Dear All,
A couple of months ago I suffered a catastrophic disk failure with my main PC which means that I lost the current master copy of the website, and all of the software that I had purchased to make it easier to create web pages.
It turns out that this was not my only copy of most of the information for the website, but it is taking too long for me to re-create the master copy and even longer for me to sort out the software because some of it was downloaded (and paid for!) but what was downloaded is inaccessible in the broken disk.....
It is all rather dispiriting because until I got WindowsXP everything was properly backed up, but my backup software wasn't compatible with XP and I haven't figured out what should replace it.
With most of the day-to-day stuff now done via the blog and email I have been rather dispiritly contemplating getting the PC working again with a new disk, but haven't treated it as urgent.
So please bear with me.
Lisa

Our erstwhile handicapper at the start, judging by the hats both Brian and Dad were wearing I think they must be the original "Andy Caper's"
One fast lady about to start such a perfect figure!
The last 3 to go and pretty determined they were too. It's so good to have the Kingston Wheelers along to make up the numbers and make these events so worthwhile. Please keep riding our events, it keeps the time keeper's mind active!
Finally but not least, First time rider Amanda Pearce doing a brilliant time, she was so pleased! Having started in a cold state, she hit the finish in such a boiling hot state her boyfriend couldn't get any where near her she was so hot. Combination of too many clothes on (get em off!), muggy night and trying too hard with too many clothes on. Well done. Commiserations to Lisa she tried her best to get to start in time but traffic defeated her, she arrived on the start line as the last man departed. As for Jake she was well chuffed and felt good not being caught by Brian and doing a good time on the night which was not the best.
As for poor old (young) Martin Callagham he cut the corner too tight at the Capel turn, clipped the curb and came a cropper. Thanks to the Audi Driver that brought him back to HQ. Badly grazed with pride dented he will survive to ride another day. I for one am so glad he did not break anything!

Tricky to take these photos on crutches with a stiff breeze up your trouser leg. Aplogies to first man through I was out of postion as the actress said.... See later blog for finish where I got you all! Well done to all riders and the organisers and those from the chaotice brigade who sometimes can be completely tactless and sometimes without a leg to stand on.(P.S. I think we are being completely unking to Toni when he was not there to answer - or even ask - Which way!!!!!)
