As you may know, Emma is about to do an amazing bike ride from Geneva to Nice, she says:
My epic trip, pedalling from Geneva to Nice covers a distance of 450km over 8 days, incorporating over 13,000 metres of climbing, so with only 5 days to go I'm in the middle of final preparations... PLUS looking to secure more sponsorship :o)
I've chosen to raise money for two extremely worthy charities, DebRA and The Makunduchi Project - So if you'd like to DONATE, please click on these links below. Every penny counts!
DebRA - http://www.justgiving.com/GenevatoNice2008
Makunduchi - http://www.justgiving.com/GenevatoNiceMakunduchi
DebRA is the national charity working on behalf of people affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - a rare genetic condition which causes the skin to blister and shear at the slightest friction, or even spontaneously.
What your money will do...
· £2.50 'Scratch Mitts' to prevent a baby born with EB from tearing their own skin
· £5 A set of easy grip chunky pens to help children hold a pen when their fingers are fused together from repeated scarring
· £25 One hour of research to bring us closer to finding an effective treatment for EB
· £150 A pressure relief mattress to relieve the discomfort of sleeping
Why DebRA? I suffer from EB (simplex, luckily, so it's manageable) and cycling is one of the sports I can enjoy with minimal impact - So dig deep and donate online!

The Makunduchi Project has been designed to renovate, equip and run the hospital in Makunduchi in southern Zanzibar, where many of the 60,000 or so locals have little or no access to healthcare. What your money will do...
· £2.50 A mosquito net for a young mother and child
· £5 A uniform for ward nurses or a set of theatre scrubs
· £25 A mattress for either a standard hospital bed or maternity bed
· £150 A full set of surgical instruments for Caesarean section or an examination couch for the A&E department
Why Makunduchi? I've been lucky enough to be involved with the project through working at MIG - So please help 'Bring the Makunduchi project to life' and donate now!

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me:
DebRA and Makunduchi will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please DIG DEEP!
Many Thanks,
Miss Pedal Power Potter
