Frank phoned me to say that he has broken his leg (assisted by the dog) and will be stuck in Suffolk for a while! The only consolation for this is that at least he is in the right environment with a bungalow and someone to look after him...
He has no computer or internet access, so if anyone needs to get hold of him they need to phone him on his mobile - or, if you need to get hold of him and can't get through I have the number for the bungalow.

Well he's chosen the appropriate time. The end of the season, should be recovered in time for the next!
ReplyDeleteSadly, Philip, it's not the end of the season for Frank yet.
DeleteHe phoned me for the numbers of the organisers of several events that he is supposed to be timekeeping over the next few weeks.
Oh thats a bummer, Ill send him a text.
ReplyDeleteI too spoke to Frank this morning on his mobile to offer my commiserations and offer to fetch him home if he want's but he confirmed he is much better off where he is and well looked after. His lower leg is fractured just above the ankle. He has a heavy plaster cast which will be removed for a lighter one on Tuesday. He has managed to contact all the organizers of quite a few events he still has to time keep. So he's out for 6 to 8 weeks.
ReplyDeleteI could not resist the comment that it must have been some hell of a 50th Wedding Anniversary and he laughed!
Of course, people do actually ride those hillclimbs that appear in the CTT handbook.
